A few things have changed on the site, most of which are immediately visible, a couple of which aren’t…
On the sidebar there’s a new upcoming events section, which will list, oddly, upcoming events.
The photograph at the top of the blog is by Toby Thain. It’s some Melbourne graffiti.
We’ve changed comments so that people no longer need to register / login to comment. There’s also the capacity to comment anonymously.
I get a lot of emails about the blog – both from people who want to tell me their story or to offer a response to a post in preference to leaving a public comment, and from people who want permission to use stuff. Please feel free to use anything on the site for non-commercial use (unless it’s been attributed to someone other than me!). If you use it in written format, an acknowledgement would be appreciated. Feel free to change anything – though if you change it so that it means something completely different, feel free not to add my name!
It’s probably also worth reiterating at this point that this blog is a statement of where my mind is at a particular point. I look on it as an archive of what’s happening in this project. When i write reflections about what i’m thinking, they’re a kind of snapshot of where my head is right at that moment – which is why there are contradictions and incongruities. it’s kind of like the psalms, but not as clever, beautifully written, divinely inspired or longlasting… so really it’s not like the psalms at all.
Thanks again to mike for fine tuning and tweaking, for stretching that bandwidth allocation over the last week, and for making it all fun…
