catch-ups

[i remember! i have a blog!]

Between the spaces is meeting this Sunday afternoon at the Wesley-Anne. if you’re in the neighbourhood and feel like a drink, pop on by… if it’s as gorgeous as it is today we’ll be in the beer garden out the back, otherwise i’ll book a booth…

The sunshine is good preparation for London, where I’ll be this time next week… it’s summer there, so of course it’s warm… We’re taking a group to Greenbelt – there are 15 of us travelling together. I’m arriving a week early to get over jetlag and then to travel down to Devon where i’ll be meeting with prison chaplains, and going inside Channing Woods Prison to write some psalms with the men in there, and hold a sacred space or worship. I’ve never been down that end of the UK before… i plan to sample as many devonshire teas as is possible over a two day period…

We’re putting the final touches on worship for Greenbelt [‘The Memory of Water’ 5pm, Saturday, in New Forms cafe]… our original intention was to be prop free… alas, we find it hard to be prop free and creative, so we’ve gone with the latter. It’s been an interesting experience of collaboration – i think we’ve come out with something rich and good [for those of us who are curating it, anyway], but planning by email with a group who don’t know each other is a decidedly flawed method of planning.

i’ll post up the trip itinerary next week. it’s a good trip, and an even more diverse group than last year, so it bodes well for fun – and, of course, learning… I’m very much looking forward to it…
