My sister text messaged me and said that she bought a copy of my new mentoring book (though it seems too small to call a book) – so it’s out! Yet another reason to drink champagne tonight…
And Amazon are selling it too (although they’ve spelt my name wrong… I suspect they’ve done that to keep my ego in check…)
It’s called "Mentoring: A guide to ministry" (I didn’t choose the butterfly…). It’s a practical ‘why and how’ guide for congregations wanting to begin a mentoring program. It’s published in the US by Upper Room Books. I think the companion book, "Me, a mentor" is about to have another print run in Australia through Mediacom.
For those in Australia and New Zealand who have previously bought "The Ministry of Mentor", published by JBCE, and then reprinted through Mediacom, this is a revised, updated version of that. If you own the original, there’s not a significant amount that’s different in the new version, so I wouldn’t necessarily buy it. Unless you’re a mentoring fanatic. Or my sister.
[And as the acknowledgement says, thanks to Craig, all those years ago, for thinking i should…]
