looking forward…

Back in the office today, and loving it. it’s the first time i’ve really been in all year for longer than a glancing look in despair at my increasingly cluttered desk. January has been a fairly wild ride in all sorts of good ways, but it’s nice to be a taking a breath at this point and looking forward…

the year is unfolding… the prison and asylum seeker projects are both progressing and taking some new shapes. A few of us are continuing some conversations which began at ncyc about the possibilities for alternative worship in Melbourne’s south east. Plans are also afoot to start a series of Last Supper’s, after the first one a few weeks ago. Lent begins in just a few short weeks, so I’m wondering where we might head then (I’ve done a little bit of work with Mark Pierson on a Lenten resource, which is looking fabulous)…

I’ve just agreed to run a few workshops in June – June 18 and 19 at the new CTM in Parkville, and June 23 at the Wesley Centre in Geelong. These are all on alternative worship. More details as the time gets closer. Sharon Hollis, from the CTM, and I are also talking about doing some workshops on technology in worship. If you’re interested in that kind of thing it would be good to hear what you’re looking for…

i’ve an article in the next Crosslight magazine about the possibilities for sacred spaces in the city. Crosslight’s not online, but i might post the pdf once it’s been distributed.

There’s a lot else that’s happening too, but i should go do it instead of writing about it…
